Abdullah Aziz Hameed was born and raised in Hawler (Erbil), Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Trained as a medical physicist — graduating in 2026 — he has spent most of his life pulled toward technology, and the last several years building with artificial intelligence. His work sits at the intersection of startup product, applied AI, and the Kurdish language.
He works primarily as a product and solutions builder rather than a pure research engineer: shipping startups, tools, and packages end-to-end. The deeper technical work — light fine-tuning, NLP and text-to-speech experiments — is focused on Kurdish (Sorani and Kurmanji), a language whose digital tooling he wants to see catch up.
He is the founder of ZHEER SAZ, a studio shipping AI solutions and products, and a co-founder of Kurdistan AI and kurdistanai.app, the first Kurdish-language outlet for AI writing and research.
What he works on
Designing and shipping consumer and prosumer AI products end-to-end.
Light fine-tuning, tokenisation and voice models for Sorani and Kurmanji.
Kurdish-first learning tools — Kurdlingo and related apps.
Open-source packages such as imanikurd — an Islamic toolkit NPM package for Kurdish speakers.
